   Everything work great with the release 3.3. I imported my .wallet file without any need to re-sync the chain or what so ever. Also I created a new file from keys, also no probs but then I had to sync when loading it ofc (took less time then before). The .csv export is idea.

Do I need to download the entire blockchain again if I upgrade?

It depends from which version you are updating. Any version before 3.2.0 you will have download the blockchain if you upgrade but the newest version makes the download much faster and easier.
